Our Design Process
It is crucial that clients know how our design process is outlined, for the essence of understanding how their projects are being undertaken and delivered. These are the series of steps we follow to create visually appealing and effective designs. We have listed the steps below.
This is the initial phase where we meet with the client or project stakeholders to discuss the project's goals, target audience, scope, and requirements. We gather as much information as possible to ensure a clear understanding of what is expected.
Here we discuss the project deadline and collect all necessary resources that would be needed from the client.
A 50% deposit is required before any project is undertaken, as it benefits both us and the client by establishing a level of commitment and security. This helps the client to become more likely to be engaged and provide timely feedback and information, which can lead to smoother project progression.
Secondly, deposits are used to cover initial costs and every payment subscription required to undertake the project. When the client is satisfied with the work and approves the final deliverables, the remaining balance is paid.
Once the final payment is received, the designer provides the client with all the necessary design files. NOTE: If the final payment hasn't been made, we will not release any file.
After understanding the client's business, industry, values, target audience, and competition, the research phase is a critical initial step in the creative process, encompassing activities aimed at gathering insights, and understanding the project's objectives. We conduct research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and market positioning.
We analyze the brand's current identity (if applicable) to determine what's working and what needs improvement; this ensures that our creative solutions are not only visually compelling but also strategically aligned with the client's vision.
Concepts are the art of forming a vision in an abstract to find an optimal solution to a problem. Based on the research and insights gained, we start brainstorming and sketching out initial ideas. This is the phase where different concepts and approaches are explored, considering factors like typography, colour palettes, imagery, and layout.
We set the tone for the entire design project, laying the foundation for informed decision-making and guiding the subsequent stages of refinement and execution.
This is the stage with the most laborious task and takes longer time than any other stage. It is a dynamic and exhilarating stage where imagination takes centre stage; we delve into the depths of their creative reservoirs, seeking inspiration from various sources such as nature, art, technology, and cultural trends.
Here our team brainstorm new strategies to transform ideas and concepts into tangible designs that communicate the intended message effectively; it involves a combination of creativity, technical skills, and a deep understanding of design principles.
At this phase, the client provides feedback, which involves a careful and systematic review of the design work with the goal of refining and improving its visual elements, messaging, and overall effectiveness. We use the feedback from clients, stakeholders, or colleagues to make necessary adjustments and enhancements.
This could involve tweaking colours, rephrasing written content, adjusting the website layout, changing images, and other design elements to align more closely with the project's objectives and the desired visual identity.
We consider factors such as clarity, readability, coherence, and emotional impact. Iterative revisions are common, allowing us to fine-tune the design until it achieves the desired balance between creativity and functionality.
Effective collaboration, communication, and an open mindset are utilized during this stage to accommodate different perspectives and arrive at a final outcome that meets both the creative vision and the practical requirements of the project.
Once the design has been refined and all parties are satisfied, the final version is prepared. This involves checking for any errors, making sure all elements are properly aligned, and ensuring that the design is ready or suitable for its intended use. We meticulously examine the alignment, spacing, and proportions of all graphical elements to ensure a visually balanced and harmonious layout.
Also, we do rigorous quality checks to ensure that the design appears crisp and clear at different resolutions and sizes; we understand how important it is, especially for digital designs that might be displayed on various devices and platforms.
After approval, we provide the client with the final design files in the appropriate formats, which could include high-resolution images, txt files, PDF files, vector files, or other necessary formats, through their preferred method of transfer. NOTE: Final payment must be made before this phase takes effect.
After the project concludes, it's our standard practice to touch base with clients, seeking their input and assessing how effectively the design achieved its intended objectives. This phase plays a vital role in enhancing forthcoming projects and cultivating more robust client connections.
